Military Tuition Assistance
VA Vocational Rehabilitation / Chapter 31
The VA Vocational Rehabilitation (VR&E) / Chapter 31 helps Veterans with a service connected disability. This program offers support and services so the Veteran is able to live and work as independently as possible. VR&E helps the Veteran to find the best employment option and will address any education or training needs that the Veteran needs to complete their track. The Post-9/11 GI Bill® / Chapter 33
The Post-9/11 GI Bill® / Chapter 33 helps Veterans or Family to pay for some, or all, of the cost of school or training. Using the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, the VA will pay the tuition directly to the school, and send the student a monthly housing stipend based on location, along with $500 per semester (Spring and Fall) to aid in book fees. Individual Tutorial Assistance
The VA Tutorial Assistance program will help pay for a tutor if you need extra help with your coursework. Georgia Southern offers tutors through the Academic Success Center, however, if needed the VA will pay up to $100 per month for Tutorial Assistance for a private tutor.
